age UK closing

The charity shop in town is closing its doors on Saturday, they do not have enough customers to make it viable.

my thoughts exactly. Although it definitely needed a facelift as was feeling very dowdy. Maybe that is where the Willen Hospice shop is going

I wonder how long charity shops will remain on the high street? The larger charities are already selling online, for example https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/cancerresearchukshop.

Unless they have amazing technology they can only get their star items on line, or their own merchandise.

Perhaps Age UK is not situated in the best place. Not good for "footfall" and difficult for car deliveries etc.
On the other hand Dr Barnado's in the Car Park seems to be doing very good business.
My case rests.

all empty today - quite sad really, it has been there for many years....

...maybe that was why it needed a facelift as it had never had one!
