My vote goes to the little Blue Stars with their pom-poms and little routine. They made a real effort.
The lady on stilts did well - not easy walking up Woburn Street and she did manage to straighten up when she got to the top.
The "cowboys" with their wagon were missing a pantomime horse to go in front - YE=Hi!!
It was lovely weather for everyone, almost too hot.
A pity that those in wheel chairs had to bring up the rear but I am sure there was a reason for that.
Anyway thank you to the photographer for rolling the cameras so that those who can't join in these days can see the Parade. :D

Gone are the days when we had floats, with all the school kiddies riding along with their particular themes for the Festival and the Town Band
marching proudly in front. Also gone are the days when the Parade actually marched all round Ampthill and not just up from Station Road directly
to the Park.
We have had American Bands with pom pom dancers, Austrian type bands and many other attractions.
I know the day was hot and tiring especially for the youngsters, but it did seem as if the Parade was just one stream of people with little co-ordination.
As a previous organiser ( many, many years ago) I do have some knowledge of what should be happening on the day of the Parade and what people could
see of the theme of this Parade seems to have got lost.
