Never heard of him before and have to say not an immediately positive reaction from the young Dr Who fans in our house - mind you it'll be a year before he's on the screen.

Some interesting tidbits in the Dr Who confidential and the short excerpts of the other 10 Doctors brought back some memories. I think we'll try to get some of Tom Baker's episodes on DVD as they got a good reaction from the kids!

Winning streak over!

1st reaction - "WHO?"
2nd reaction - "Wait and see"
3rd reaction - "What? Spring 2010?!!!"
Need one say more?

My sentiments exactly

At least we have four more with DT.

It's a hellishly long wait... 15 months or so, but it will be a really exciting time, with a new Doctor a new head writer and new Excutive Producers. I would have thought they'll throw in a few tweaks to the opening titles and perhaps a fresh coat of paint for the TARDIS :D

There is the promise of darker storylines - Moffat has given us some corkers, including the award winning 'Blink'.

But until then, I intend to wallow in every microsecond of Tennant's tenancy 8)

I don't know if I am more gutted now than when Catherine Tate left.

Bring back CT and Matt will be OK.

Let's start a campaign to bring Back Donna Noble

Catherine Tate was completely brilliant - I agree, she should come back. Her last scene in the Tardis when the Doctor had to remove the memories was heartbreaking. Donna on full power eats Rose Tyler for breakfast

Yeah... took 10 men 46 years to run around being scared of the Daleks, only to find that one woman had them totally incapacitated within 5 minutes :D

As Doctor Who is on at the moment, I thought I'd just save Firefly the trouble of having to find this thread.... :D

Can you convert that to yards. I don't do these silly metric units.

Yeah, it was good. James Bond with extras. I love the humour in it... "he invested everything in Icelandic Banks"
