I see that the ampthill history forum has an article about this:

There is a new street name to add to the Ampthill map
The development behind The Limes (the old Mid Beds DC offices) has been named 'Richardson Close' in recognition of Sir Albert Richardson ('The Professor'). He was an eminent architect and formerly lived in Avenue House in Church Street. The Limes was one of his last designs and opened in 1967 for the then Ampthill Rural District Council.
Ampthill History Forum has worked with the Town Council for many years to ensure that the inevitable new developments reflect the town's rich history, landscape and its people. 'Richardson Close' continues the tradition for what the developers are calling 'Lime Tree Court'
