So did anyone manage to get a visit? Know anyone that is going to stay?

Any news of residents being able to get day passes?

Do they have lost of bookings for this weekend?

No day passes for residents I'm afraid. Something I asked them about several times and was quite hopeful with the responses from Centerparc HQ - but didn't come to anything sadly............... :(

Had a good look around the other day as Mrs Moaning git is an employee of said posh holiday camp. The facilities are incredible any kid and big kids for that matterwould love them. If they opened the place to day visitors you would imagine they'd be swamped.

You can see the car park from Fordfield Road and it looked pretty full yesterday. Not noticed the feared massive traffic problems yet.

no thankfully didn't notice it, I don't think it is fully open - I think they are doing a phased opening.

It was on the local news Friday night.

Wonder if anyone ventured into Ampthill?

I walked around it a few weekends ago. Car park was fullish but didn't see anyone in the park itself, it's all quite well hidden.

I expect - like everyone else - I got a leaflet through the door extoling the virtues of Center Parcs.
However, much as I would like to see around the place, I do not think I shall be tempted to sample their delights. 8) :AA

Leaflet arrived on Sunday, along with all sorts of others. Came in with BoS (I think).
Sorry Sizzla but I threw it in the Green Bin and I'm afraid I am not going fishing for it.
However, it was advertising the Parc with pictures of The Spa and the insides of the Chalets and Pool - also blurb about the restaraunts etc.
Also, that it is only an hour from London etc.
And that's about it really. :) :AA

Sounds like it was just a general flyer then. Nothing relevant to Ampthill folk - we don't really need to know that we're "only an hour from London".

Yeah - Well It might just put Bedfordshire on the map.
Have you ever noticed that when the Media talks about the Midlands or East Anglia - many of the Counties get named, but hardly ever Bedfordshire.
Even the Weather people talk about, Cambridgeshire or Northamptonshire - never Bedfordshire. It is as if we almost do not exist.
Perhaps with Center Parcs, we might at last come into our own. :AA
